Skin Booster Treatments

 

Skin booster treatments are an innovative injectable anti-ageing treatment that can be used to address sagging skin across the face and neck. They stimulate production of collagen and elastin, which are vital proteins in the skin that gives it elasticity, thereby improving skin laxity. Skin boosters are made from Hyaluronic Acid gel, a naturally occurring substance produced in the body, which moisturises the skin. They can be used on the face, decolletage, hands and neck.

·        Dull or dry skin

Skin boosters treat existing wrinkles as well as, encouraging the growth of collagen and elastin to prevent the growth of new wrinkles, effectively remodelling your skin from within.

Technique

Using a fine needle technique, the skin booster will be slowly injected beneath the skins’ surface. A mesotherapy gun can also be used to administer the product. There is minimal pain and reduced risk of bruising or haematoma. The treatment consists of three sessions, 3-4 weeks apart, with a maintenance treatment once every 4 months, as required.

Procedure

The procedure generally lasts from 45 - 60 minutes

Downtime

There is minimal downtime. You may have some bumps at the injection sites after treatment, which should resolve after a few hours. We recommend avoiding physical exertion, high impact exercise, make up and alcohol consumption for 24 hours post treatment. Avoid steam rooms, saunas and intense UV or sun exposure for the first few days after your treatment.

Results

Typically results can take 4 - 6 weeks to become apparent. Depending on the indvidual, the effects may last for around 18-24 months. You will need to have a minimum of three sessions, at 3 weeks intervals. To enable longevity of results, a maintance treatment every 6 months is recommended.
