Skin Peels

FILLMED Skin peels help reverse the signs of skin aging. They work by gently removing the upper layers of the epidermis, resulting in rapid cell renewal, stimulates collagen production and improvement in the appearance of the skin. It is your solution to tired and stressed skin, restoring a glow to dull, uneven skin and for generally improving your complexion.

FILLMED peels are specially designed for sensitive skin. They are formulated with gluconolactone, and are specially designed for sensitive skin. Combined with other active ingredients, it reinforces therapeutic impact, improves tolerability, while enhancing overall results.

There are three formulations of FILLMED skin peels. Your DermZen practitoner will recommend the solution that is best suited to your skin to achieve your desired results.

  • Time Peel: This peel is indicated to target wrinkles and firmness

  • Bright Peel: This peel targets dark spots and uneven complexion

  • Light Peel: This peel targets fine lines and radiance

Technique

Your skin will be assessed during your consultation, and depending on your skin tone, we may start with pre-treatments before your peel. Darker skin tones may need longer preparation time. On the day of your skin peel treatment, your skin will be prepared with a soothing cleanser, followed by gentle application of your chemical peel. Aftercare advice and a follow up appointment will be provided for optimum results.

Expect to experience some soreness or tingling during application.

Procedure

The skin peel procedure generally lasts from 45 - 60 minutes

Downtime

Superficial peels usually take 1-5 days for healing. Mild peels take an average of 7 days, while deeper peels can take a few weeks to heal.

Results

Results may vary, and relies upon adherence to aftercare advice and follow up treatments to maintain and prolong results. It is also key to maintain good self-care, such as hydration and sun protection. You will experience itching and peeling afterwards. However, skin picking must be avoided, as this can lead to irritation and scarring.

While extremely rare, scarring, infection and discolouration can occur with deeper peels.
