We are able to help you dissolve unwanted treatment that you have had elsewhere to helping you restore a naturally balanced and harmonised appearance.

Treatable concerns:

  • Asymmetrical lips

  • Thin lips

  • Lines around the mouth

  • Lips lacking definition

  • Volumisation

Technique

After an initial consultation, to assess your medical health and facial and li[p assessment, to determine which areas need treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the lips to gently numb the area. Application is done using a fine needle or cannula to gently distribute the filler into your lips. DermZen Clinic have a particular reputation for delivering outstanding, natural looking results. To create some results, you may need several sessions to gradually build up your desired look.

Procedure

The assessment and procedure takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on how many areas are to be injected and how much product is required.

Downtime

Discomfort and downtime are minimal. There may be minor swelling, tenderness and possibly bruising, which subsides within days. However, you may return to normal activities soon after. To prevent bruising and swelling following treatment: keep your lips hydrated, avoid touching the lip area, heat treatments and intense physical acctivities and exercises, as well as make up and alcohol for 24 hours. We advise against smoking, as this affects healing.

Results

Results vary, but typically last between 3 - 12 months*. Hyaluronic Acid fillers are naturally-occurring, thus, they are naturally broken down by the body over time, returning your lips to its previous state. Most patients will experience mild swelling, tenderness and possibly bruising following an injection, which should resolve within days. Typically, it takes a few weeks for your lips to fully heal. There is a low risk of adverse reactions and side-effects are usually mild. A detailed review of risks are discussed during your consultation. At DermZen Clinic, we believe less is more with lip fillers, adding only what is required to give a natural and refreshed look, with the option of topping up at subsequent appointments if deemed necessary.

* Smoking and other factors unique to individuals, as well as metabolism may affect result duration.
