How many treatments will I need?

FILLMED skin peel treatments are administered over 4 sessions, at 2 weeks intervals. Thereafter, to maintain your naturally rejuvenated and glowing results, it is recommended that you have one treatment session every 6 months.

How do I prepare for my appoinment?

For 3-5 days prior to your appointment, avoid the following on the treatment area;

• Laser hair removal

• Waxing

• Application of depilatory creams

• Electrolysis

• Topical retinoids

• Exfoliants

We will have a consultation, going through your medical history form (which you would have completed prior to your appointment), assess your treatment area to determine if treatment is appropriate for you. We will go through the side effects specific to your treatment and costs involved, to enable you make an informed decision. Upon completion of consent, pre-treatment clinical photographs will be taken. Your skin will be cleaned and prepped for treatment.

Your appointment should typically last for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

How long do the results last?

However, results may vary, and are dependent on each individual.** A maintenance treatment plan of once every 6 months is recommended to keep you looking beautiful. How do I care for my skin afterwards?

After your FILLMED skin peel treatment, it is important to keep your skin well looked after;

• Keep hydrated

• Avoid touching, rubbing or placing physical pressure on the treated area

• Avoid make up for 12 hours

• Avoid direct sun exposure

• Avoid spa treatments, hot baths, steam rooms and saunas for 24 hours

• Avoid consuming swimming

• Avoid abrasive skin treatments for several days following treatment or until your skin is recovered, and any redness or peeling has subsided

• Avoid use of aggressive products or those with heavy fragranes on the treated area, due to skin irritation

• Avoid topical cosmeceuticals which contain Glycolic Acids, Salicylic acids, Vitamin C and Vitamin A for 72 hours

• Avoid smoking, as this could prevent your skin from healing properly

• Use a gentle facial cleanser

• Moisturize your skin, use a hydrating facial lotion

• Avoid picking your peeling/flaking skin

• Protect your skin from the sun, apply SPF 50+ regularly during the day

• Complete the treatment protocol
